Scott G2

The new Scott G2 is a dry-fly fishing dream. I've been using a 5-weight 8'8" model and have found it very precise in presentation and easy to control. It's definitely a Medium action rod. Very comparable to a Winston WT or a T&T LPS.
Despite the good flex it has a great backbone and you can feel the strength in the butt section that allows you to land a big fish. Another great aspect is that it's a four-piece rod which makes it very transportable. I've taken it to Wyoming, Utah and North Carolina to fish and it fits very nicely in my travel bag. I heartly recommend one for anyone looking at a dry-fly specific rod.

Best dry fly rod in the BIZ, always has been!

not true! The original G series was too soft and whimpy.

The new G2 is a nice rod indeed. Slightly more backbone.

Keep up the great work on your blog. Best wishes WaltDe
